Well, I always told myself that I would wait another week before I got myself a set of Jacobs Wires... now that I am ready to order them, Tweeks and Automotion don't seem to list them in their catalogues anymore.
Anyone know where i can find them? |

Called everyone. Can't get them for the 944s2.
Where did you guys get your S2 wire set from and how much did they cost. I have found some Bosh ones for $175.25 from Paragon so far.

Just ordered the Jacobs Wires from Summit Racing. With shipping they came out to $43... but I do have to wait about 2 weeks to get them.

Are you guys just putting on the jacobs wires or going with the whole setup? I almost ordered the wires and variable magnetic coil today but the wife is making me put if of until next week. I was also thinking about getting the whole ignition system. Has anyone tried this and if so is it worth the money?

What makes Jacobs so good? Whats the point of replacing the stock system?

I see some people have good luck with Jacobs
I tried them and saw only like a 2 HP increase on my car on dyno. Switched to Nology and got at least 5 ------------------ Porsche. Es gibt keinen Ersatz. |

Nology makes ignition wires, or Hot Wires as they call them, for the S2. You can get them through Performance Products. I have no experience with them though.

Ordered the Jacobs ProStreet ignition that included the coil, brain box, and wires. It worked for about 5 minutes then began misfiring. I sent it back and got a full refund. Must have gotten a bad one. It was a complete flop.
System is a combination of MSD with metered spark intensity. Mine did not work, and I lost confidence. I was also not happy with their wires. They did not cover the hole in the cylinder head as do the OEM wires. Perhaps the chumps sent me the wrong kit. Don't know but I have lost interest. |
