Hi,
I just joined the pelican parts board, although I have been a member of the rennlist board for a while now. I have a 1987 944na 8 valve that is in the process of being converted to a manual tranny, used to be an auto. It has 28k original miles, and almost everything imaginable has been replaced. I feel that the car is in mint condition, and since I'm going to have it for a while, I want to upgrade it. I'm 16, so a turbo is out of the question, insurance would cost as much as college. Here are the mods I'm going to do while it is in the shop: I'm going to get all these parts for www.europroducts.net 1. msds header 2. dme upgrade 3. msd 6a ignition system 4. msd blaster 2 coil After that I am going to supercharge it. I'm in the process of looking for a used rimmer system, I hear they're the best. I'm hoping that these first few mods will bring me into the 6 range 0-60, i Know this car wasn't made for 0-60. Scott, I know that you supercharged your car with the rimmer system, how much faster is it now? If anyone has any opinions/experience with these mods please post, thanks. Brendan |

with all the mods you are doing (especially headers) you will NEED a chip.. ALSO, exhaust will help ALOT with your headers.
if you want a cheap thrill, then go for nitrous. many people here have tried it and have been 100% happy with it. SHAUN |

I am getting a chip, thats what I meant by dme upgrade. Also, how much is a nos kit, where can I get it, how much hp can I run safe, how long is installation, and where can I hide the nos bottle?

nos is around 4-500, it can be installed VERY easily in one afternoon, if you run 50 shot you got about 60HP, and it can be stored in one of the cargo compartements in your trunk.

Daly I heard Autothority has some great chips for 85.5 on up. I wish I had a later one...They want me to send my whole ECU in so they can do a board conversion and install the chip.

I have given thought to the autothority chip, but its like 400 bucks. I'm gonna get the www.europroducts.net one cause I have heard from people said that europroducts is a good company, and their chip is 120 bucks. I have heard that all chips are the same, so if it is true, why not get the cheapes one?

Crazy, they is Autothority. Be sure to have an extra DME if you want your car to run still. I bought one from the wrecking yard for 190, still in great condition. i will just send that one in.
