Post Way to Porschefest..clutch went smash...help

On my way to the Porschefest I was crossing the throgsneck bridge in extremely heavy traffic and my clutch melted to the fly wheel..Its a rubber bushing clutch..but I just want to make sure Its my clutch and not my tranny....so here are the symptoms....
1.extreme vibration at 3000 rpm that disappears below and above 3000rpm
2.tends to shift roughly....requiring more effort to select gears
3.smelt clutch burning before it final locked me in nuetral....
4.when cruising I release gas and am jolted and when gas is reapplied it also jolts hard into gear
Also..I checked tranny and changed over to synthetic fluid when I did chnage the fluid there was absloutely no metal anywhere in fluid and I also check the bottom of tranny for scraps...and non were found...tranny is cleaned..also check rer diff from inspection holes and all looks well..nothing is stripped and everything is clean...
Any suggestions Imm pretty sure its the clutch...I already order a clutch kit for 380 bucks(sachs kit)...also anyone know where i can find a oxygen sensor cheap..its and early 85?

Hi FTY, I hope that you ordered a sping centered clutch disc for your replacment, if not this will happen again.
Th spring centered disc is used in the turbo, and will work well in the NA .
And you wont ever have to worry about the rubber disc giving up the ghost, the only reason the rubber disc is used is for vibration dampening, however the turbo seems to work fine without it........Stan
