Horn gone wild
sometimes, when i start my car, my horn just starts honking, with always a new different rhythm to it whenever it does this. it doesn't do this everytime i start the car, but happens, maybe once a week, if that. it's rather annoying, and when i'm leaving a friends house at say... 2 in the morning and my horn goes buck wild, i'm sure his parents don't appreciate that... anyone experienced this before? any ideas?

I put a Momo steering wheel on my S and everytime I would turn a slight corner, the horn would beep. It got rather annoying. So one day after school when it was on a frenzy, I took the relay out, umplugged the wires in the steering wheel and took the fuse out.

I think it's your alarm. I'd fix this before imobilizer decides it does't like you and leaves you stranded.
Disconnect battery. pull rubber vent cap from driver's B pillar. Now you can get to alarm key switch. It has 2 wires going to it. If you want to remove it, there is a 18 or 21mm nut on outside under beauty ring. Check wires and lugs for corrosion. I believe alarm module itself is on tunnel in very front of console, you could check it for loose connections. Beyond that, $75 to dealer for new switch. If you don't have alarm, beats me good luck

i don't think i have an alarm. the horn doesn't honk like an alarm going off, either. i don't have an extra keyhole on the handle, either.

Identify any other electrical component that operates with the same rythm as your horn is beeping, you probably have an earth fault which is intermittent. Does it make any difference how long the car has been standing?

no, the car can be shut off, then started up, and it may do it.
