Well yet again I have another F'n problem with my car!!
Whenever I downshift at low gears the whole car starts vibrating...I changed out the engine mounts and that didnt help(they needed to be changed anyways) So it is the clutch... My mechanic said it might be just oil on the clutch but i dont know..... He said he needs to pull it and see what the hot spots are. Anyone ever had this problem bfore? The clutch is a year old ------------------ 85.5 Porsche 944 |

It has to do with your flywheel. From day one when I had my new clutch installed without the flywheel be taking out my car vibrated horribly if I downshifted and didn't match the rpm's. I didn't worry about it because other than that it was fine. So just made sure everytime I downshifed I matchd the rpms.

is it while u are engaging the clutch or after?
if it is while it is the clutch, if it is after it is part of teh drivetrain such as gears differental cv joints or something. |

how many miles on the clutch? I know its only a year old but...
when a clutch is worn to the rivots it does this...and it usually slips too in extreme cases where u have worn all the friction material off...could be oil like your mech said |
