need opinion on 86 944 n/a

This guy I met at a car wash has a 86 944, grey metallic paint with awsome beige interior. He said he has the car sold up north to a buddy. Well he called me the other day and asked if I really wanted to buy it he would sell it to me and find his buddy another one. Timingbelt, mintex pads, all brake sensors,hood shocks,belts, ac clutch,oil filter,fuel pump relay, he said has all been changed in the past 30 days or so. The car is very nice, but he said he would trade my 83 on it and 4000.00 dollars. Thats way to much money,he only wants 5600.00 for the car out right.Anyway it has 139000 miles on it too, sounds to high to me , give me opinions...........thanks

If he has receipts for all that work I think it's a pretty fair price. Not the trade price, the straight price....I'd go over the body with a magnet first though....

make sure you check the clutch too, and tires, drive it over 100 to make sure it's str8.... but pricewise, that milage is ok.... but i think he's alittle high, i got mine for alot less 3 yrs ago, with less miles and an excellent interior/exterior. mine is an 85.5 5sp na.
