Post NO BOOST!

Yesterday the car ran great..
This morning, no boost!

The guage registers a vacumn under idle and seems to react and register just fine. Problem is, I cant get any positive pressure in the manifold. I know that the Turbo is spooling cuase I can hear it, and becuase the boost guage is moving up to 1 bar when reved, but not past it. I suspect a leak. I thought maybe the waste gate was stuck open, but since the boost enhancer bypasses it until 10 psi, I would be able to get some boost before it vented to the open wastegate. Any ideas??

I imagine that it is safe to drive the car? albiet kinda boring.

Sergio.

wastegate stuck open. being bypassed by the boost enhancer won't make a diffrence if it's stuck open.

Matt, is it safe to drive the car??

I took the whole ducting system off to look for leaks, etc... I did find a few loose hose clamps, most noticibly the one coming from the pressure side of the turbo. This was not an easy clamp to get to. hahah!!

I am about to tighten it all up again. I did notice on thing that seemed odd. Those little hard black thin plastic tubes, there is one near the Cycling valve that is loose, I found a 3 way connector that looks like it may go there, but appears to be broken and wont really hold the tube... What is this and what does it do?

Recycling valve has plastic nipples that break off due to time and heat. Valve has 3 nipples. The hoses connect there.

The three on the cycling valve are fine, its the little threeway right next to it.... small hard plastic tubes, some sort of vacum line i think. Its the same as the one that comes out of the valve on top of the plenum next to the coolant tank. about the diameter of a toothpick.

Last time at Road Atlanta, car would do no boost. Came into pits and noticed the small vacuum line near the front of the fuel rail was off. Without it, for some reason, there is no boost on mine. Put it back on and varoooom! Replaced y shaped rubber tube thing.

Well guys I took your advice, and checked the wastegate... Looks liket the spring has broke or come off, cause the valve was hanging loose. I went to take the wastegate off to attempt to fix it and sheared a bolt. At least I know the problem.

Thanks!
