My new addition to the P-Car.. Check it out

Well here's the latest addition to the P-Car

I know you non-US people won't appreciate it but I got a plate and holder from a porsche dealer in germany through E-Bay

I think it adds something to the 944. Of course, now I can't get the big lights in the center , but oh well.

nevermind the expired Calif plates ( feb 2003 ) :D

I used to have european plate in the front of my 924 before it went CRUNCH.

todwic 01-02-2004 04:54 PM

I like it.

franks1 01-02-2004 08:46 PM

i have to agree, it looks like a natural fit to the car. of course, i have been to germany three times so i am kinda impartial.

Zero10 01-03-2004 12:13 AM

Wouldn't you get hassled about having an invalid plate on the car?
I don't know what the laws are in the U.S., but you can't do that here in Canada. =(

ronin 01-03-2004 02:42 AM

they usually don't say too much, as long as the required plate is clearly visible

Don 944 LA 01-03-2004 02:57 AM

Well, stoooopid me didn't think of the license plate lights.

I guess I'll have to rig something or get pulled over at night all the time.

The calif plate is down on the bumper s I doubt that there is sufficient light on the plate to satisfy johhny law.

hmmmmm.

Don

any suggestions ????

:(

ronin 01-03-2004 03:00 AM

there are some frames available with lighting built-in for just your purpose. and of course I don't have a link handy at the moment. I'll see if I can find it in the a.m., but someone'll probably beat me to it

Why don't you puut the CA plate over the european plate... it will make it look like a grey market import. Just a thought.

UconnTim97 01-03-2004 09:49 PM

I've heard the term before, but what exactly is a "grey market import"?...just curious

ronin 01-03-2004 10:19 PM

a "grey market" car is a car not made for the US market that was brought to the US (not imported) by an individual and subsequently licensed
