Hi Guy's,
Here's a section of E-mail I got about doing a fix on the cab top, if anyone can shed any more light would appreciate it (snip) It appears that the 968 Cab has the feature you need. I do not have the schematic for the interlock wiring, but I believe that it is a simple change on the DME signal to the relay. It presently is so the engine rpms are sent to the tach and the relay for the top. (Also a few other places. By giving that lead power, you should be able to set it so that the top will go up and down with the car stopped and the motor running. Presently, you have to have the car stopped, the motor off but the key in th on position to do the task. (snip) |

I know they sell a mod for the 996 and the Boxter to enable the cab top to be raised and lowered at speeds up to 25MPH.
I would imagine that there shouldn't be too much difference between them as far as the wiring goes. The kit consists of a couple of wiring harnesses and a relay or two. Automotion sells it. AFJuvat |
