I replaced the Blaupunk 4X6's in the rear with the best Pioneer 4X6 I could find. Then I removed the stock 4X6's in the doors and mounted Pioneer 3-way 6 1/2" speakers using some 1/2" extention rings. This meant that almost no cutting was required.

Then I mounted a 4X50 watt Pioneer CD player where the tape deck used to be. The system really sounds good... the door speakers deliver good bass, considering their size. The next stage will be two subs in the very back (custom boxes) and an amp.
Oh yeah, the car is an 1987 924S. -MAS [This message has been edited by MAS (edited 07-08-2001).] |

ccus944,
I have the Blaupunkt 'Munchen' also and am thoroughly impressed. The disck changer you installed. Was it a perfect fit or were modifications necessary? Also, what speakers are you using for you front? Did you have to use spacers? Thanks, STeve (1989 944na) |
