Alright guys, I'm thinking about doing some suspension work. I was thinking about getting the yellow koni's and some springs.
What I want to know is what you have done to your NA suspension wise. What kind of prices am I looking at, minus the labor. How happy are you with the changes and how noticeable are they. I don't really know much about suspensions so help a brother out. ![]() Porsche, through and through Tim '83 944 ![]() My Photo Page My Home Page ![]() |

www.madirect.com is Tweeks, they have koni yellows for $240 front/ $140 rear but it's not clear if that's each or for the pair, i think that is each. They also have 250# Eibach springs for $170/pr. and the 28mm torsion bars for $320/pr.

Koni reds have adjustable damping too and are around $200 for the pair front, $130 rear for the pair. Springs can be found around $120/pr, torsion bars usually $300 for solid, $400 for hollow. Might want to replace all your bushings with better poly ones while you're doing that too. If you do all that, you really should have a strut tower brace added up front too, they run around $250 and up.... all that stuff is on my list of to do's. Oh... and Kumho racing tires on factory fuchs 16x7 front 16x8 rear running 225/50 front and 245/45 rear and .... and...

Stray:
I have the 250 lb springs konis and strut brace. befor you do any thing read up on the grassroots motor sports magazine about the 944 project car they just did. If I would have had there info I would changed a few things. The rear coil overs they did looks like the best thing to do. I think you can read up on that article a grmsports.com . fire |

with rear torsions,at least 28 mm I noticed quite a bit of flex and creaking as I put more miles on the car - I'd probably avoid them and just lighten the car if I had to do it again.

If I would add a 250 lb sping set in front, which lets say would drop the car aprox an inch or so and added stiffer shocks all around, would it be nessecary to drop the rear, or could I go without adjusting the rear t-bars(t-bars being stock)?
