looking for a rear quarter
well i changed my plugs today, car runs great, but i backed into a van that was parked at my friends shop and really hurt the rear quarter on my passenger side. I was wondering if anyone had one? i am going to try and fix it myself as well as i can, but does anyone have one on a parts car? and no i am not a bad driver i am just an idiot!!!

dude... you get into more accendents, i thought i was bad. maybe you should get another car.... anyways if you do swap out the rear quarter panel let me know how involved it is. as you can see from my sig. my rear quarter panel is pretty much a giant dent and id like to swap out both for fiberglass ones that have the square flares like the gtr, but i heard it involves a lot of cutting with a saw or plasma gun which im not about to attempt in my driveway on my daily driver.
but i would really like to know how involved it really is, let me know when you have a answer pls. and maybe we should install those metal bumper things they have on gocarts onto your car... hehe

I have a significant dent in my driver's side quarterpanel as well. It's right behind the rear wheel and fairly complex (e.g., area above the flair is pulled in slightly, area behind the wheel well has a crease). The PO supplied the dent; I never did find out where it came from.
Anyway, I'm scheduled to have it addressed by a well reputed guy from a restoration shop in four weeks, so I'll update you guys afterwards as to what it took and whether he was able to work the dent out without replacing the quarterpanel.

well heres the deal, and i am going to get pictures to follow soon hopefully, but for now the shop estimated $1216 w/ out any parts or painting, I would have to supply parts and do painting myself, so it sounds like i am gonna do it myself
still need to locate a rear passenger quarter in my area

fast924s, it has to be cut off using a plasma cutter i think, then i would have to weld it on to my car,
kinda a crazy process, but i have to do it, so is there anyway you could do this?

What year is your car?
I think That small changes were made on these so look closely. Also the inner fender wells are not the same on early and late. Do you just want a skin? And how much of it do you want? I may have what you want. |
