My new baby has a cold: As I stated in an eariler post, sometimes she has boost, some times she does not - it dosent matter what gear, or RPM etc, its just that sometimes there is no boost. Turning off the car seems to help fix it for a while.
Additionally, while driving last night, I pressed the gas and the car got a "deer in headlights" attitude - meaning that nothing happened - no increase in speed, notta - zilch - goose egg... Upon releasing the gas and trying again (for Petes sake)it worked. This thing happened again shortly afterward, only I kept my foot down. While there was no response for a couple of seconds (!) the RPM's did start to increase and off I went (no boost). I checked the throttle cable and it is OK. Car ran and boosted normally this morning. Please tell me this is a cheap, common problem... Thanks! V |

I'd start checking the killer of all 951's Vac lines... I wound't even bother checking them either get some silicon or new rubber hoses and just start replacing.. I'll bet you'll find a couple that are either at the end of their lives or gone..
Matt Cures alot of the 951 blues |
