Smoke smell in car...how do I make it smell better?

Hey all,
So I occasionally smoke cigars in my 944. Not stanky cigars, good cigars. But even the best cigars leave an odor that is.....unsavory.
So, the question I pose to you 944 drivers is:
What's the best technique for making my car smell a little less like smoke? Are those cigarette lighter ionizers worth it? There must be some other smokers here who can give me a few tips on making my beloved ride smell a bit less like an ashtray
Thanks!

well, I hate to say it but the best way to keep that smell out is not to smoke

one other way is to clean your car thoroughly and often. wash down all surfaces that won't get damaged by liquids (glass, vinyl, plastic, etc) with a solution of water and a grease cutter applied to a good cloth. (the cloth should be thoroughly wet but not dripping) then dry the surfaces and apply a protectant on the vinyl and plastic. wash your leather surfaces with a cleaner such as Lexol and then treat them with protectant. (Lexol has great products for all of that) other than just protecting your surfaces, the protectant (whatever you end up choosing) will act as a layer that holds the smoke instead of it getting directly on the material

for your capets, remove your seats and shampoo the carpets often. treating them with a bit of scotchguard will help here too

that should do the most for keeping the smell out. as for those ionizers, I have no idea

We have an ionizer at home that works awesomely. My dad smokes like a chimney, but it doesn't smell like it. The whole house usually smells like right after a thunderstorm.
Ours is made by Living Air. I know they make a car one also.

Those Ionizers work great in the house. Really cleans up the air. I dont know how well the auto ones work.

I gotta figure out how to make a backpack model for my wife, that turns on everytime she flicks her cig lighter. Man I hate the smell of cig smoke!!!

You're going to laugh when I say it, but I totally hate the smell of cigarette smoke too
I smoke cigars and pipes, and at least to my nose the smoke from them is pleasant, but cigarette smoke is a totally different beast.
Now that I think of it though, the smoke smell in my car doesn't really smell like cigarettes, cigars or pipes. It smells strangely like pizza burning on a hibachi......

I smoke cigars too, I try to avoid smokin in the car if I can. when i do, I pop the sunroof and crank up the floor vents, so it takes the smoke right out the roof.
