The rear hatch on my 86 951 often doesn’t lock/shut easily. What is the adjustment I need to make on the two locking bolts?
Thanks, Ave |

Same here. They are too loose or too tight. They really have bipolar personalities.

I'd guess they're too short so screw them out a bit and lube up the catches.
My hatch was making a hell of a squeaky racket, especially as it gets colder so I screwed them in (shorter). Now you can feel it's tighter cause the key is stiffer when releasing and it "pops" up when released with the electric button. Even occasionally opens itself all the way when hitting the remote. |

You really have to play withthe posts to get them right, if they are too long or too short they will pop. I've had the best luck somewhere between 8 and 10 threads showing between the bottom of the locknut and the end of the post.
