Black seats in a Burgundy interior???

My 951 has the burgundy interior which is nice except for the seats. The drivers seat has some wear on it and the back seat is pretty dry and starting to split at the seams. I have been looking for some good burgundy replacements (with no luck). I am considering putting black racing seats in the front and a nice stock black leather seat in back (cause they are easy to find). How do you suppose this would look? Anybody seen this combo before? Got pics?...

Thanks...........

It should look pretty good with all the seats being black...with the darker burgundy interior.

I thought my seats looked great for a stock 21yo car. Then I looked close...

very very close...

turns out they are the aftermarket "recovers"...I think.

They look great and match the interior.

It would match the black shift boot which was originally burg. I think it would look great and I was thinking about putting in black porsche racing seats in when I owned it!

If you can have the seats reupholstered at a decent price, snip a small sample and send it to

Hidehouse
PO box 509
Napa CA 94559
Att: Jennifer

They sell dyed hides and might be able to set you up. They also have a web site.

go for the black map pockets in the bottom of the doors also. That would look great.

I think it would look really good. I had a friend whose 944 had a burgundy interior, and he swapped much of the interior from a totalled 944 with a black interior- including the shift boot, steering wheel, some other stuff. All in all, the burgundy/black combo looked fantastic.

Hey wolf...

A friend of mine has a burgundy with some racing seats (black). It looks ok. I like my all burgundy 944NA better to be honest....

I think if you wait you will see a set of burgundy leathers come up.... and they dont sell that high..... black is what everyone is looking for.

IMHO, this would look best if you changed some key interior bits over to black, such as the steering wheel (930S wheel?), and shift knob.

This is the way one thinks when he has a BROWN interior.

lol, I f have the brown interior too.

You could change the carpet to black as well. It is easy to do. I just did mine (brown), and it took only a few hours.

Hey Alex,

I have been watching for some burgundy seats, all the ones I've seen so far have been as bad or worse than mine.. .
Guess i will continue to look for awhile longer, but if nothing comes up I may try the Burgundy/Black combo with racing seats..

On another note.......what the hell you doing posting at midnight? Sneeking in late to avoid chat???....
