Car cranks will not start
I recently bought a 87 944. The car has no spark. Compression is ok. Fuel pump runs while Cranking engine. It has power on both coil terminals but is constant ie no pulse. It has power to both sides of the injectors, (strange) but has no pulse. Crank Sensor #1 ohms at 1200 ohms and drops below 1000 when activated. Crank sensor #2 ohms at 920 and seems fixed at that value. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You need to check the voltage the sensors put out. An analog volt meter or an oscilloscope. Both sensors should put out about 2 volts when cranking. The rear (speed) a constant voltage and the front (reference) a pulse per revolution.
I would also check that the rotor didn't come loose or that the HV wire between the coil and the dist cap has pulled loose inside the weather boots.
