Swapping tires?
I just picked up a set of 16x6/7's fuchs for my 911.
I'v been runing 15" phone dials with 195/65 front and 215/60 rear Dunlops on the 911 that I'm considering using to replace the junk phone dials and tires on the 944. Do you think I'll have problems with the 944's handling if I make the swap?

Problem is that the 944 is nearly 50/50 weight distribution while the 911 is about 60% tail heavy. The skinny, tall 196/65 tires on the front of a 944 will cause some noticable understeer and steering mush due to sidewall flex. You'll degrade the 944's strength; great handling. I'm not sure about the safety factor of this tire combination, though.

Yep, I'm a little worried about the safety issue. TNT25169, I'll pm you once the new wheels get in and I see what I'm doing.
