Oil pressure/knock

My car started making a really strange noise yesterday and it really worried me. But I thought that it was the exhaust giving out on me. Today, while driving the car would make the banging noise, and then when i would brake the oil light would come on and the 2 brake lights also. So now I am relaly worried, the car is garaged and parked until i fix this... I think that the engine is knocking. The oil pressure has also gradually dropped, now it is at about the 1 bar while at idle. What in the world is wrong? I thought it was the oil cooler seals that first because i have had my oil disappearing for quite sometime. The coolant also seems to gradually disappear. What is the matter? please help me.

Done some more reading, the "knocking" is really really loud, I am just going to drain the oil pan, what is the best way about going about looking for metal particles in the oil?

magnet won't show bearing material, but dragging the drain oil with a magnet is still a good idea just so you can see if there's anything iron in there (probably the only things that could put iron in the oil would be crank, cam, or rings) bearing material is non magnetic but if you see anything that looks like copper DO NOT DRIVE that means you are through the babbitt on at least one bearing

If I can I'll stop by next week and listen to it. I've been through plenty of knocks/ticks before, maybe I can help figure out what it is...
