Where can I go to find a "good" deal on wheel and tire sets and not break the bank? (1987 944S)

It really depends on what you are looking for. You can usually get a "Replica" type wheel anywhere but I do not recommend. I am not sure what the bank is, but I purchased a set of 98 Boxster 5 spokes off of Ebay for around $750 and just put the tires on when the arrived....

Yes, boxster wheels are your best bet. Especially the 5 spoke ones that flood ebay. You can get a set of those with tires for like 500-600.
