Trust me here, keep looking. I put this car in the $750 category as a parts car. For $4k, you can find better cars.

Why do you want an automatic?

Wife cant drive a 5 speed....Tried, and tried, and tried.

Plus...shes on the phone to damn much. Finally sold the benz today.

I'm in the market for a 928 and I've been thinking about getting rid of my 86 944 n\a. Black with tan interior. Auto. I've done a lot to this car, but I still have a good ways to go. Car runs sound, but it does have 200k miles on it. No big dents, but it could use a paint job. I have 18" turbo twists on it, but also have 15" phonedials. I haven't really considered a price yet, but I know it's not worth 4k. Anyway, if you might be interested, I can send you some pics. All biz calls...cant do without. Have a decent speaker phone system, but shifting does make fo extra attention.

there is a black with tan leather interior auto up here for sale....its spotless..dont know how much hes asking for it but I will leave a note on his windshield about the pelican forum. It has some nice stereo work as well..6x9s in the trunk on those two little side panels...

I know of one in here in Corpus Christi. 1987 automatic, red with beige interior. Very, very nice condition. I think cleaner than my 1987 S. I saw it parked at some apartments with a for sale sign but no price. I called out of curiosity about 2 months ago. He wanted $5000. Claimed it would go 160 also...I kinda brushed him off after that wild claim. It had about 100K as I recall. It's still sitting at the same apartments so he has never sold it. don't know the guy or how eager he is to sell. I've never seen it advertised in the paper (I look all the time).

It's obviously not going anywhere in a hurry.
