brakes
When I push down my brake i dont stop right away. I have to push down the pedal a good inch to half inch before it grips. Pads are in good shape, nearly full. Would adding some more brake fluid help?

add brake fluid and bleed the brakes.
try that first, you may have a bad master cylinder. AFJuvat
