Is that a Ferrari?

The other day, someone walking by asked if my car was a Ferrari? I guess that should be a complimment of sorts.

Funny thing is, last week end some guy in a Ferrari 308 was checking out my car, while I drooled at his...I guess it could be a compliment

I get asked this all the time by the schoolkids walking past my house.I think it's the guards red and the pop up lights, everyone just sees those old Magnum PI reruns and thinks it's the same car!
I used to get annoyed and say 'no it's a porsche you leg iron!' but now i just smile politely and tell them to move along...

They are both great cars. I have one of each. The 944T is more practical as an every day vehicle. The turning radius on a 328 is huge and the AC is not as good, and I suspect the 308 is no different as the 328 is a derivative of the 308. The biggest drawback I have with my 328 is that the radiator puts the hot air right on the windshield making driving in the summer uncomfortable. Ferrari parts cost far too much, and service is very expensive unless you do it yourself.

I have owned my 328 for 17 years. The 944T for 8 years. I probably like the looks of the 328 better than my 944 but my 944 would look a lot better if it were not a track car. Both cars are well made and will last if given proper maintenance. Ferraris make nice noises but after a 6 hour drive, the noise beats me down. Fun car though.

db951 thanks for compliment. When I was a teenager in college many years ago, some rich law or med student had a Ferrari. License plates were somewhere in New England area as I recall. I was trudging along the sidewalk with about two dollars in my pocket and heard this really wild noise. I looked over and it was a Ferrari - a sedan type. I just about soiled my pants. I said to myself that someday I'm going to own one. So, about 20 years later I bought one.
