New (Used) 18 Inchs on my 83

I got these wheels recently. They are 18x8 and 18x10. Tires are 245 and 285. I adapted 1.5 inch studded spacers on the rear. Tires are Porsche Cup racing slicks.

the tires look as if they have a larger O.D. than the stock size tires. Have you noticed a decrease in acceleration?

You're running slicks on the street? Thats asking for trouble the first time there is any moisture on the road (spriklers, someone washing their car, an unforeseen cloudburst, etc.). Not to mention the ticket you could get for running non DOT approved tires. I don't mean to sound like your parents, but think about it.

wow those are nice. 18s seem to fill out the wells nicely. I figured the would look bigger. Im going to stick with a set of Design 90s if I ever come across a set.

Very nice! What color/paint code is that? I like it a lot, that's the exact color I have in mind for the 914!

Have fun the first time you drive over a nail. Those things will act like magnets. Needs to be lowered, love the wheels though.

Definetly needs to be lowered with those wheels! (p-shop attached)

Also, did you upgrade the caster blocks to the 968 units? If not, do that soon!

They are 18x8 and 18x10 Cup 2s with 245s on the front and 285s on the rear.

First pic was when I first took it off the jack stands. After a few miles, it settled out.

Are these take offs?

What model, and what is the offset.

I would really like to do the same thing, but running into the 17' wheels at 7" & 9" width (not enough)!

Your 944 looks great!!!
