Ignition Maintenance
plannning on replacing dist, rotor & wires in the coming month..
I see Pelican has 3 different wire sets available.. OEM, Magnecor and Clewett. Other than price, any discernable difference between them? Why would I choose one over the other? This is a stock 944, used as a daily driver. Also, Pelican's catalogue lists 2 rotors - OEM and Bosch.. Same questions apply. Only difference I see is that for the Bosch the "shaft adaptor is NOT included". Would this justify the $70 difference in price?

We just use the OEM (Beru or Bosch) stock Bosch plugs, rotor arm without the shaft and the cars keep on going. Make sure you replace the fuel pump relay if it's more than five years old.
