Well ive started the process of replacing the half shafts and bearings, and quite frankly have hit a wall
. Hayes says to torque the castle nut down to 340 fl/lbs... well ive established that there must be a crush sleve. My question is does one have to replace these, or can you just put new bearings slide it back in. If so how much torque would it need? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There isn't a crush sleeve, only a spacer. Make sure you assemble everything correctly. You will need the inner and outer seal and the outer o-ring. Tighten the hub nut to the correct torque as you posted.

When working on these cars you should have a workshop manual.

Also the spacers have to go back onto the sub axles in a certain direction/order or it doesn't tighten correctly.
