944/924 newbie question
How many of the body panels fron an 83 944 will fit (as in a bolt on swap)on a 78 924?
Fenders? hood? back hatch? etc... thx, J R |

every body panel will bolt on. the '83 944 is a late 924 with flares and a 2.5L porsche motor, they share pretty much the same frame with the exception of a few extra holes here and there.

Has been mentioned that the hatch glass on the early 924's is thinner than the early 944's. Anyone know for sure?

Never heard of that but not that you mention it I'm curious. I have a '78 hatch I'll try and measure out later today if someone has a 944 glass to measure we'll find out for sure. I kind of doubt it since the frames appear to be the same so if the 944 glass were thicker it'd sit up higher in the frame than the 924 does and it doesn't seem to look like that.
