We have tried everything to remove our sunroof on our 1988 944. When we activate the switch with the car in the on position motor not running, the latches do retract. However, the only way that we can get them to extend to reinsert the top is to manually crank the latches back up.
Any ideas? |

Hrm. I just finished adjusting my sunroof, but this doesn't sound anything like my problem. Does the roof raise and lower normally when the engine is running? If it won't raise at all, maybe "switch III" (which stops it from raising too far) is shorted or stuck closed? I could see where that might prevent the arms from extending?
Pelican has a nice tech article on the sunroof, but if you're cranking the roof by hand, you've probably already read it...
