Red face Turn Signal Switch w/o cruise control

i just bought a turn signal switch for my 1984 944 from paragon products for $27, and today i get a call saying they are out of stock and they can get it special order but its going to be $40-$50, what is this? why did they not list it unavailable on the website, ive been searching FOREVER and i cant find it anywhere else, does anyone know where i can get one for a reasonable price or is anyone willing to let one go to me? every site ive checked so far has not had them (they only have the $300 ones with cruise) someone help, i need this so i can drive my car again, if you can help me out with some sites or something thanks.

Pelicans are about $50. Bet the price was not correct and they are not going to honor it.

agreed..
go back to the site in a week or two and see if it's still $27 - if it isn't, you know that's the problem.

IIRC the switch from some VW's and the early 924's will fit in the 944's. I'm stripping down my 924 today, I'll try and get it out and get you some pics if you're interested.

You may not be aware, but Porsche parts have gone up almost 50% in the last year... I think that PAG has discovered that parts can be a profit center. Also, the dollar is pretty weak against the euro these days.

Stock up on your parts now while they are cheap and available... Who knows what will happen in the next five years.

That part should be interchangeable between Audi/VW and Porsche, just based on the VW and Audi logos on the back of the lever.

You'd just have to figure out what VW, to find the cheapest part.

chuck from paragon products called today and said it would be about $55, and it would have to be special order from germany because none of their suppliers have it, i told him to refund my money and cancel the order cause i was going somewhere else who actually had it and didnt have a misinforming price, it was a negative experience among the many positives ive had with them, but i checked out Pelican, Midworks America and the DC auto, ill be making the purchase from one of those sites in about 30 min now

AznDrgn - thanks for the offer of the 924 switch, but im going brand new on this part i decided

thanks for the help everyone, without you guys my car would have been sitting in my driveway forever and i would have been sitting on my couch with a head full of confusion
