Detailing question

Since it's summer time and my car is outside for a lot of the time, I decided to give my seats a cleaning and coat them with some conditioner. My question is what parts of our cars are leather and what parts are pleather? I believe the steering wheel, front seats, and shift knob are all leather, but the back seats seriously feel like pleather. Is that right or am I wrong?

The center (perforated) part of the seats is leather, the rest will be vinyl, unless it had the very rare full leather option. Dash and door panels will be vinyl.

......and the steering wheel itself is leather.

BTW, I saw a full-leather optioned 944S2 several years ago and it was so nice that it made me jealous. Does anyone here have this option with pics so I can salivate for awhile?

The front panel in the sport seats are leather, I used to treat the whole seat like it was anyhow, it's not like lexol wrecks vinyl. I found a techniqiue the other day that works very well. Try letting the seats heat up in the sun and rub the lexol in with just you're hand, no cloth. Let it sit and then remove any resdual moisture, it worked awesome for me.

Armor All works good for leather, rubber, and vinyl.
