Roof Rack

Hi,
I have the need to carry a bike and I am looking for a roof rack. Does anyone have one that they want to sell? There is nothing in the classifieds and nowhere on ebay. Someone out there must have one sitting in a corner unused.

Thanks!
-Greg

Take the bike apart and put it in the back. Worked for me.

It does work, But in my last 2 cross county trips the back was so full that there wouldnt be room for the paperwork for the bike. Also this time I am carrying a Battle Bot that will require most of the space.

its not that great, not like the others I worked on. If you ever saw Grendel as a toy. That was from my team. My teacher built that. Also Revision Z Was ours and got to the semi finals. Mine.... has seemed to always loose. It has four electric bike motors geared way down and can pull a car as long as i am standing on it for traction. It only has a spike on it for the weapon but i did do alot of damage with it. The weak point was the drive train. I never had a real shop or any real budget so stuff was made out of spare parts. I now have a $2000 controller that i got from a former FIRST team. But the reason I am taking it back is the next competition is in Rochester where i go to school if they ever decide to get around to finializing it. Then a mechanical engineer and I are going to build a killer one for next year. The picture I belive is still up on the battle bots.com website under meet the robots middleweights and Metallic Meyhem. All the names and stuff for the team is wrong, but the picture is correct.

I have a Thule system. Finding the 944-specific 'feet' for the system is difficult, though. I think I bought one of the last ones new a few years ago:

I found the right stuff from Thule through REI and it came out to be $680 which is a little much for me right now.

I have the Yakima as well, I had no problems finding mine at rackattack www.rackattack.com. I got all the parts used with the exception of the bars. I wasnt too expensive.
