Tie Rod ends
I've replaced just about everything in the front suspension and I still have a shakey steering wheel at above 50 mph. I have not replaced the tie rod ends and don't know if they have ever been replaced..so couyld this be my problem?? would worn tie rod ends have that much play to cause my steering wheel to shake...1987 944..140k.. gonna get an alignment after I have them replaced as well..it also feels like if you hit a bump or bad spots in the road the steering is "loose" and out of control. Tires are ok, so I don't suspect alignment to be the problem.

what you suggest is normal for me... I have an 83 944...
I'll be doing 50mph going around a bend in the road on a highway, and for an instant the car will jump slightly if it hits a bump or joint in the road... but never enough to lose any sort of control... and the shaking wheel - I replaced both tie rod ends when I bought the car, and the wheel still vibrates from 50-65mph.... has yours always done this?
