Getting harder to shift...
 
As of late, shifting in the 944 has become more difficult. This applies to all gears, but especially 2nd.

Do I just need to change my tranny fluid?

Change it to Swepco synthetic tranny oil -- you should see a notable difference, especially if your tranny's in good shape.

You've never done tranny oil, cjf? I'm shocked!

17mm allen socket, don't overtorque. I think 17 ft lbs.

Just make sure you undo the bolt on top of the tranny first, to make sure you can add the new oil after you've drained the old one! :D

is this the Swepco 201?

... and how much should I order? Gallon?

A little over 3 quarts, iirc.

edit. just checked, it should take 2 3/4 quarts.
