Sticking brake

Hi, would be interested to know if the handbrake on a 944 is self adjusting and could possibly stick on for a while, and then start to work ok?

The 944 handbrake is not self-adjusting.

It could stick, then start to work OK if one of the springs is broken.
You should take it apart and take a look, fix what is wrong, then put it back together and readjust the handbrake per the factory manual.
