oil filters
just changed my oil and went to put on a mahle oc 47 oil filter i bought at pelican, and it wouldn't fit. it seemed like the threads were not the same size. luckily i had an extra porsche filter and used that instead. So why wont the mahle filter fit? It makes me mad because i bought 2 and now i cant use them.

Isn't the correct filter part number OC142? Or if you wanted to use the taller filter from the 928 that is part number OC46. I think you were trying to fit the wrong filter.

OC47 is a VW/Porsche filter, used on the 924 and various VW/Audi models. Did you order it on-line?

yeah, i ordered it online with a few oem porsche filters too. the filters look the same too. the threads are just bad.

If you have friends with any early 4 cyl Golf or 5 cyl Quantum, Audi 5000 etc..the filters you have fit those cars.
