Holy 944 sightings, batman!

When I lived in Kearney, NE I saw maybe two 944s the entire time. I just got a phone call from my old roommate who saw four 944s in about a 4 block area. A maroon one, red, brown, and a tan one. A few blocks up, there was a yellow viper and a newer 911 carrera!

There's gotta be some crazy show or get-together, has anyone heard anything? Maybe they are caravaning through to another state??
