power from cut-out?!?!?!
 

hey guys,
i found this cool thing on http://9xauto.com/944.html if u go to that site, then scroll down to "High performance stage engine modifications" then scroll down to "944/968 exhaust for street and race", you'll see a exhaust cut-out. the idea is that when its opened, itll allow ur exhaust to exit through 2 places. does this idea work? has anyone tried it? any performance games? or is it just a joke....not bad for 70 bucks

the idea with that modification is to bypass the exhaust sysem restrictions.

you will probably have some horsepower gain.

you will definitely be loud enough to pique the interest of every police officer for several counties.

you will probably lose some low end performance, due to less backpressure.

you will be illegal for street driving.

Some one on rennlist has run the cutout on the dyno, One run shut and one run open he LOST 35hp!!!!!! with the cutout open. I wouldnt run it
