What can i tune up on my 944?

I think my car needs a major tuneup. Im currently getting 17mpg, using premium gas and driving it softly. Maybe 4 months ago i replaced the air, oil and fuel filters. Recently i put in new spark plugs and transaxle fluid. What else can i do to fix my sick car? Its an 83' with about 70k miles.

I purchased it in fef of 05' and it had been sitting for awhile. But ive been using it as a daily driver since i bought it, and have put about 5k miles on it.

Ignition Wires
Distributor Cap
Ignition Rotor
Fuel Pressure Regulator (only if your car is running rich)
O2 Sensor
Vacuum lines

Okay. First of all "Premium" is just a marketing ploy by the gas companies. The octane of gas has nothing to do with quality. The octane refers to knock rate -- the only reason you should run 93 octane gas if your car doesn't call for it (I believe 87 octane is fine for a stock 944) is if you are getting knocking/pinging from the engine at high revs. Otherwise you are just throwing money away.

The standard tune-up is cap, rotor, plugs, oil, and filters. Ignition wires might be needed if yours are old and worn.

Test the 02 sensor; unplug it and see if the car runs better with it unplugged. Is the car running rich (gas smell even at idle)?
