Best wheel set up for 944 S2 ??
I own a 1989 S2 low miles bone stock, currently run the original D-90s 16s, on michelin rubber.
I would like to know your experience with various wheels set ups from very good rubber on 15s to 18s from boxsters. I have been tempted to go with 17s from a boxster since 18s seem to be a bit on the heavy side. The car will remain stock and only wanted to make the car look a lil more " up to date with turbo cups II 17s or something like it. But at the same time , I like the ride and steering feedback from the original d90s, so will really appreciate your input on what wheels for street and what wheels for light autocrossing. thanks Peter |

17's will look nice, offer crisper handling, but not affect the pleasent ride.
18's look odd to me on 944s. With such a short sidewall, you really have to be careful around potholes. I have 17's from a Boxster S I use for the few times I drive my 944 on the street. |

this is what I thought , buying some real good track rubber for my D90s since the wheel is lighter and also tires will be cheaper for 16s . and get some good boxster 17s , for the street with good rubber but also that will last since roads in canada are rough.
thanks any more inputs will be appreciated |

Pics anyone? I'm curious to see what they look like on the car.
