Best wheel set up for 944 S2 ??

I own a 1989 S2 low miles bone stock, currently run the original D-90s 16s, on michelin rubber.

I would like to know your experience with various wheels set ups from very good rubber on 15s to 18s from boxsters.

I have been tempted to go with 17s from a boxster since 18s seem to be a bit on the heavy side.

The car will remain stock and only wanted to make the car look a lil more " up to date with turbo cups II 17s or something like it.

But at the same time , I like the ride and steering feedback from the original d90s, so will really appreciate your input on what wheels for street and what wheels for light autocrossing.

thanks
Peter

17's will look nice, offer crisper handling, but not affect the pleasent ride.

18's look odd to me on 944s. With such a short sidewall, you really have to be careful around potholes.

I have 17's from a Boxster S I use for the few times I drive my 944 on the street.

this is what I thought , buying some real good track rubber for my D90s since the wheel is lighter and also tires will be cheaper for 16s . and get some good boxster 17s , for the street with good rubber but also that will last since roads in canada are rough.

thanks any more inputs will be appreciated

Pics anyone? I'm curious to see what they look like on the car.
