Removing front fenders?

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knew how to remove front fenders off an 85 944 NA. If you have any pics or info just let me know....Thanks a lot

Visable bolts along the hood line, and then there are three bolts covered in road grime up underneath by the door.

Then a little bit of heat will help soften the goo and it will pop right off.

I just did this with my race car.

There are of course the bolts on top and the one at the bottom rear. And there are three previously mentioned (see attached photo).

Forget heat or a torch or the other things I've seen mentioned before in relation to this operation. I used a box cutter to cut the mastic and then I used a small scraper to scrape it away (a screwdriver should work OK as well).

You'll also need to cut the mastic along the mating edge inside the fender.

Once all the bolts were undone and the mastic cut along the joint I started lifting the fender. Be patient. A little modest yanking and it started to separate. Once it starts it's pretty easy to get off. Just have patience.

Everything mentioned has been spot on........

A couple of weeks back Justin L and I pulled a couple of sets of these off............

A spatula and a heat gun worked very fast............

Once you have the bolts off........... having someone up top pushing a spatula through where the bolts to separate........and the heat gun underneath.......it went through like butter.......

Just watch that heat gun........... its HOT
