Talking SoCal Clutch Help - Finishing the Install

Hello again guys. I've yet to finish my clutch job because of lots of changes at work. I really need to get the car done within the next 2-3 days as i am now on vacation until the 9th (next friday).

The car is still in Costa Mesa, NOT Riverside. I have the new clutch/pressure plate and associated bearings installed and the torque tube bolted up to the bellhousing. Currently the transmission is out of the car and I have to re-install the TDC Sensor, Speed and Reference sensors. I do not know how to properly set the sensor and I do not have any special tools to do so. I should be at my friend's house by 8AM to get started on the car. If you can lend a hand please send me a PM and I will give you contact info and directions or an address. Thanks in advance to those who can help, and have helped (Craig, you da man!).

~B

on my second clutch job on a friends car i found that the sensors had to be removed but the braket diddnt so no adjustment was necessary. On my car i followed the procedure about gluing a washer on the sensor and setting it that way. .8 mm i believe. It wasnt too hard actualy. good luck!

Sorry, if forgot to mention that part. I used a silicone window sealent that stck well enough but came off in one gooey piece. You do have to remove the washer.

Just saw this - hey didn't realize you were relatively close by. You still need help on this? I can swing by in the evening some night this week or whatever if needed. . .

IT'S FINISHED!!!

Monday night I left off with a bad battery and the car would not crank over fast enough to start the car. Called Hugh (SoCal Driver) Tuesday morning and he was gracious enough to help me clean the contacts and get a new battery. Swap the BG/DG sensors into the right spots and cranked her over! Started right up and idles smoothly. No more wierd vibrations through the whole driveline and a fresh spring-center clutch that's working fabulously. If not for work I would have had this car done in a week and a half. Re-installing everything was easier than taking it apart and cleaning it all.

I want to give a special thanks to my friend Scott Kline, Hugh (SoCal Driver) and Craig (McFly944) for lending their help. I surely would have been on a flatbed to my friend's shop right now if not for them.

my sensor's had some grease pen marking on the plug but not on the mount, not sure if I got them plugged into the same bolt hole, is there a way to determine which one goes where without starting?
