Wheel spacers

I found some wheels that are 19x8 and 19x10 with a 52mm offset. The only problem is my car has the early offset. What would it take to make these wheels fit? Spacers? I don't want anything sticking out of sides. Thanks.

They sure look great but the extra weight of the 19 inch wheels and spacers may take the edge off the seat of the pants performance. If you want the looks then you're on the right track!

I think the recommended spacers on the racer X site are 28mm on the rear and 21mm on the fronts. With 19x8 and 19x10, I think they would be just right. Depending on the rear tire width you may encounter some interference.

Thank you for the reply. Unlike alina i'm going for the look. I've always liked the 944 for it's look. We all know that it's no speed demon and it never will be without going into the v-8 swap discussion. Thanks again.

Those are some nice wheels. Post a picture when you get them mounted. I want to replace my wheels, but I'm not sure I want to go as big as 19's . I was thinking more along the lines of 17's but I don't know for sure. I'm not seeing where you got your question answered about the offsets and I certainly don't know the answer, so when you figure that out, let me know as well. I am like you and just like the look of the car and I want to know if an offset makes the tire stick out past the fender.

Wha, ... didn't get the answer!

Check out: http://members.rennlist.com/951_racerx/WheelsFAQ-spacers.html

The parts listed are all porches parts. If you don't want to change out the studs you can also purchase the bolt on spacers from many parts suppliers such as our host Pelican Parts.

On the front I actually use a bolt on 21 mm spacer that came off the rear of the Porsche 996. Thats right... off the 996, from the factory. Bought on E-Bay.

Does anyone know if a 215/35/19 tire will fit on a 10" wide wheel. If it does that should keep the diameter the same. As far as spacers go i think the 3/4" fronts and 1" rears should work give or take a millimeter.

Uuuggh! I hate it when people say things like "We all know that it's no speed demon..." It's all relative. Of course you're not going to beat a vette off the line, but in tight twisties these cars rule. Heck, I beat the yellow 911 beauty ('02 Carrera), with my beater/daily/Ax'er around the cones at probably a tenth the price.

A 215 wide tire is WAY to skinny for a 10" wheel.

275 or so is what is about right for a 10".

Those are nice looking wheels, however your brake calipers and rotors will look awfully tiny tucked behind those.

I am currently checking to see if i can find these in a 17 or 18 inch size, 17 would be great. I'm not too crazy about the 10" width either. Anyway all i'm saying is that i am willing to trade some of the "seat of the pants performance" for looks. Besides have you been to the Texas panhandle lately, not very many twisties. I might have to settle for some polished fuchs. Thanks for the replies.
