Well....today i am off to the shop to do a final alignment to the 944 and then it will be complete. Its been a whileeeee....and that is an understatement. Ive had it for about a year....drove it for a few months and then i let porsche of nashua deal with it for a few weeks because it needed a waterpump, timing belt, brake master cylinder, and slave master cylinder. That cost me a small fortune. I was hoping I could do some of the work myself but you wouldnt believe how many people advised me not to. Then about a week after i get it back from the dealer I slam it into a curb. Yessss everything i could have ever hoped for. No. So what I did was put back my baby back together piece by piece.
With the help of this forum and a little will power....you can accomplish just about anything. I am also thankful because my autotech teacher allowed me to do most of the work on my car in the shop, on a lift. To be honest, I really enjoyed working on it, even though sometimes i wanted to roll it off a cliff. Now it has a new a-arm with new bushings, a new ball joint, new sway bar bushings, a new tie rod assembly, and a new steering rack boot. I also managed to get a cheap set of cookie cutters and refinished them to look better than new. The next big thing will be the body work but hey....if theres a will theres a way. Again, I cant stress enough how thankful I am for the help I recieved on this forum. I truly appreciate it. DP944, I second that. There really are a lot of really great people here that are always willing to share and help each other out. I love my cars and have every intention of driving them until the wheels fall off which translates to "I'm gonna need a lot of help from time to time and I'm thankful to have such a resource to help me with each and every issue."
