Engine build update
Hey guys its been a while since I posted, Just thought I would update everyone on the status of project redblaze. I got some free time the other day so I spent most of it taking measurments of my engine, Bores/piston to bore clearences/Pistons/ rod journals ect ect, Everything specs out perfect with almost 0 wear which is sweeeet. Now I gotta order rings, Anyone know if total seal makes rings for the 944 engine?? I also have a mound of new parts that I need to install, First I gotta clean everything and figure out if I wanna do any head work. Anways I will keep you guys posted and start taking some pics of the new stuff.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Total Seals for '44s. I'll go through my bookmarks and see what I can find... It may take awhile, I have thousands of P bookmarks.
|
There are total seal rings, but only the 2nd compression ring. It's either the first or the second, but I'm about 80% sure it's the second one.
|
Hey pokey, Thanx for looking into that for me. I guess one total seal compresion ring is better then none. I have heard good things about the rings so I hope I get the same results. ANyone use them before??

As for Total Seal rings ( www.totalseal.com )
First ring - not listed second ring - T2166 - total seal - CR2166 - conventional They list them for street/track use. So I guess you would buy a normal set of rings, then swap out the second compression ring from the set?... |
Zero 10 beat me to it.

Haha, I don't know if that is a bitter remark, or if I saved you time....
|
You actually saved me some time... Thanks!
