factory gold finish?

after pulling my fuches off today. im wondering if the gold finish
that matchs the rest of the car is in fact original.

i didint think twice untill i pulled them off and the back side had the same finish. also it appears to be annodizing or maybe powder coating not paint.

My first 944 had them. The official color on the original bill of sale was "platinum metallic". Was a $300 extra option from the dealer to have them finished that way.

Sounds like you've got an original set. Hold on to those.
