Rear wheel noise
My 1987 944S have developed a rubbing sound in the left rear. It increases in speed with the tire rotation. If you push in on the clutch, the noise stops. When you reengage the clutch it returns. The transmission is working fine. The clutch is almost new. Any ideas?

if you've replaced the clutch, I would be willing to bet that the CV joints are the culprit.

i wouldn't think so cj... the cv's are independent from the clutch, no?
if that's the case, then depressing the clutch wouldn't make the sound go away... ....i think... lol... i'm still a car noob
