911 plates on a 944?
surprised your car hasn't broken a timing belt yet in retaliation

lol

I hope it won't happen...

911 plate wasn't my choice, it was 911 or 959...

I tought 911 would be funny, I can easily recognize my car...
no one else would put a 911 plate on a 944

Actually the previous owner had a 944 plate...
the car office (SAAQ in quebec ) did not let me keep... for some
dumb reason, was too complicated for them

very strange.. here in ontario, all you gotta do is sign the plate ownership card that is attached to the vehicle ownership and the plates are yours..

too bad...

Also, i have to disagree with the poster who said that the S2 was a better daily driver, (maybe it is where he lives) but i drive into NYC every day and the S2 is a bit too taut for the rough roads, and needs to gallop rather than trot to be truly happy, speeds that city driving just doesn't allow. The '87 has a lighter feel and softer suspension setup, and plenty of power for daily driving to make my commute fun. Of course it's subjective, and i also am more comfortable bringing the '87 into the big apple everyday since it already has it's share of dings and scratches (unfotunately) and the S2's body is almost perfect. They're both great cars, the S2 is awesome really, but they are different and IMHO suited for different driving conditions. I saw a real nice looking 944S while i was out this morning in my '87, real nice looking, hmmm, nah, my wife would kill me!

What is the distance from the top of the center cap to the bottom of the fender lip of the front and rear?

I was at funfest a few years ago and there was an old lincoln town car parked right with a bunch of 911s and 944s and I'm thinking to my self, "This car just does not fit in here" then I noticed the lisence plate said "NOT A 944" I thought it was so funny

So I asked the owners about it and they told me in there local PCA region 90%ish of the cars are 944s

idk this just reminded me of that...lol

stone grey, i think it's all stock. the front is just about 12 1/2 in from center hub top to wheel well lip and the rear is about 11 1/2 ins. How do you like your S2?

Thanks callmethewander

I'm actually not sure if it's been repainted...
If it's repainted, it's well done...

Going to the paint shop this summer... front end has
a lot of chips and I've hit a unknown animal at 55 mph

My car sits at about 13 - 13.5 inches....I love the car to bits. Mine is a daily driver in city and on highways and I can't complain, not as smooth as the Audi A6 but thats a completely different car, but its not jarring. Its accutal quite comfortable. I love low end grunt.

Maybe my suspsension setup is for a softer ride?

Not to ruin the party, but I think we're getting a little bit side tracked here and we should only post pictures in here (this is why the topic was created in the first place).
Although of course I understand all these beautiful shots lead to nice discussions...
