Fuel/brake lines under passenger side

There's fuel and brake lines running between the engine and gas tank area. These have been discussed a lot on this forum.

I want to know how feasible replacement of just one of these lines at a time would be.

At first glance, it appears that they all need to be done at once. However, some picking around suggests the lines can flex enough to get one line out of the rubber mounts, or even to replace the mounts.

You can turn the metal part of the clip 90 degrees and release the lines from the rubber block. You only need to go back to solid metal in the lines and bend it down enough to get the flaring tool on it and make a flare, then add a coupler and new line from there back.

Well I just proved to myself that is feasible by taking the plastic screws out and removing the metal plates. The screw above the torsion tube thing required creative drilling and then creative plier action to remove. BTW the thing you get from Porsche as a plastic screw replacement needs to be cut down a bit to act as a good replacement. If you need this you will know what I am talking about.

The lines are still held up by tension at the ends and the rubber mounts. The lines can flex a bit, now with all clips( I only did a few before), enough to swap in new rubber mounts.

Interesting, why do you need to replace or repair the metal lines?

I am back to report that the brake line can be removed if the front hard line to FR caliper is removed, and also if - as will be the case if the clips/mounts are loosened- the remaining hard fuel lines have some movement possible. Quite a wide radius was needed to get the line to clear various obstacles. Also, a weak spot bent in, whic might mean the new line won't fit as easy the same way.
