Brake Balancer
Is there a brake balancer on a 85/5 944. A unit that controls the flow of brake fluid and pressure to the front and back brakes. If it has one, is it adjustable, and where is it. If not, what do you think about adding one to the car. It seems to me that the car distributes a little to much pressure to the front brakes. Does anyone else feel this way?

Why, yes, there is a brake balancer, but it is integrated into the master cylinder, by virtue of having a larger piston (more volume) for the front calipers tnan the piston for the rear calipers. I suppose you could adjust it by trying different brake master cylinders until you are happy with the bias.
In the later cars, turbos and S2s, if I recall correctly, they used a brake pressure reduction valve to reduce the pressure to the rear brakes. Some (racers) owners use a different valve to allow more pressure to the rear, depending on the ABS at the rear wheels to keep them from locking up. Having the front wheels lock before the rear wheels is a Good Thing. Keeps you from spinning and Bad Things like that.
