Indy 500?

Anybody coming to the Indy 500 or F1 this year. It's a little late to plan a gathering for the 500, but I could probably throw something together for F1.

Lemme know..

Nick

I think I'm probably going to head to Carb. day. There doesn't seem to be too many openwheel fans arounds anymore, bring on the unification.

Thumbs up

No Indy 500 but I've being going to the F1 race since it started. This year I tried to get them to switch me from the North West Vista to Stand H but they didn't bite. Any how the 2 free Michelin ticket will come in handy this year.

I don't bring the 944 but maybe one day.

Rock on! I will probably be down for Carb day as well. I always enjoy going to F1 watching the Porsche Supercup they run before the main race starts! Ahhhhh, What a great race

I think I am going to try to assemble a P-car gathering for F1. Unfortunately, I just brought my Indycar back home. It was on display for a while there at the Indy Speedway Museum. Sure I like having it on display down there, but I like having it back at home a little more!

I'll let you know any details as they come to fruition.

Laters,
Nick

Nick, I think there are about 12 to 14 guys heading to Indy with me. We were thinking we could crash at your place for four or five days....you don't mind do you? Make sure the frige is stocked...we are big guys and we eat a lot..oh and I drink Corona so have plenty of that too. Thanks, we'll see ya in a couple weeks!

5/12 ...Edit: This guy is too nice to even tell me to go screw myself....that's what I would have told someone that wrote this. It's a joke Nick, I'm not coming to Indy either...just wanted to hear your reaction. ....and I didn't get one....what fun is that?

Sorry it took me a while to reply...

I was going to say, "thats cool" I'll stock the frige in the garage
Parking would be the only problem. Heck, I would even check everybodys tension on their belts for 'em while they were here!

Ok.... So, The beer and parking parts are true... I don't know if I could handle doing 15 tension checks in a day though!! The first few would be dead nuts on. As the beer started to dissapear the tension jobs might get a little sloppy

Okay, we are doing mine FIRST! I do come to Indy pretty regularly but it's to watch the drag races...Indy and Pomona IMO are the two best tracks in the nation. I'll give you a shout next time I'm on the way.

Amen Dougster!

I drove the 85 the other day when it was almost 80 degrees, now she is sitting in the garage since it is, oh 45 degrees AND raining Will it ever end!?!

I am starting to think it was a bad idea to move my boat to storage closer to the nearest lake! I was just counting, and if this keeps up for another 36 days I might have to bring the boat back, and start collecting animals in mated pairs!

Hmmm. I might keep that in mind! I am in the process of installing a lift in the garage to store the indy car above the Spitfire. My wife keeps joking that it is a sick game of trying to find out how much money in cars I can fit in one garage.

Yes, looks like you have a nice collection there...

I need one less car...
Anyone want a 89 Mustang GT 25th Anniversary year model?

Oh and how many days in a row has it been now? We might need to hustle getting the animals together now

Thanks Dougster! I seem to have this bad habit of buing cars, restoring them, then not being able to bring myself to part with them I have run out of storage space for cars, so when the Indy car is here @ home it actually lives INSIDE the house. Much to my wifes dismay. Hence the need for a lift in the garage!
Of course the motor and gearbox stay in the shed

Makes one hell of a conversation piece when we have company

Laters,
Nick

Ha! Yea, the current wife is a million times better than the ex! She actually likes cars In fact, she likes the smell of gas and motor oil... How can you beat that!?!

It has been tempting to install a different set of pedals, steering wheel pickups in the car and put a plasma screen on the wall in front of the car so I can play the Xbox with the Indy racing games.
